I have solar panel on my corrugated metal roof and not sure if the solar panel roof mounting is to blame as the rubber on top of the bolt is not covering the whole bolt head however there is a rubber between the corrugated sheet and bracket. The shingles must be removed to attach the mounting hardware to the roof then the layers of shingles and flashing are installed with holes to allow the attachment point to stick out.
